Lynn DeShazo is the author
of some of the Church's most loved worship songs
of today, many of which have been featured on
the live praise and worship recordings produced
by Integrity Media.
Lynn is best known for such songs as "More
Precious Than Silver," "Lead Me to the Rock,"
"Turn My Heart," "Be Magnified," "Be Unto Your
Name," "Stand Up and Give Him the Praise," "In
Your Presence, O God," and "Ancient Words."
Her songs have been performed by a diverse and
distinguished group of worship leaders and
vocalists that have graced the popular
Integrity's Hosanna! Music series from its
inception. They include Leanne Albrecht, Rita
Baloche, LaMar Boschman, Scott Wesley Brown,
Travis Cottrell, Brian Doerksen, the Women of
Faith worship team, Bob Fitts, Kent Henry,
Graham Kendrick, Robin Mark, Don Moen, Marty
Nystrom, Ross Parsley, Randy Rothwell, Paul

found their way onto countless other worship
recordings, including independent productions as
well as the works of artists such as Michael W.
Smith and John Tesh.
Lynn has been involved in worship ministry on
the local church level for over twenty-five
years as a worship leader, a songwriter, and a
musician. Her songs have been sung in worship
throughout the Body of Christ since the early
1980's, and she has been an exclusive songwriter
for Integrity Media since 1989. Lynn has also
produced ten of her own music recordings to
date. The latest CD was released in 2007 (MORE
PRECIOUS THAN SILVER - the Songs of Lynn DeShazo).
Lynn travels frequently as a guest worship
leader, instructor, and minister to a wide
variety of churches, retreats, and conferences
within the USA and abroad. As a psalmist in the
Body of Christ, she helps connect worshipers to
the flow of God's Spirit, bringing times of
refreshing and healing to God's people.
Lynn is a native of Alabama, graduated from
Auburn University, and has lived in Birmingham
nearly all of her life.

MINISTRY INFORMATION
"To
everything there is a season, a time for every
purpose under heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1
(NKJV)
October 2007
I have been a songwriter and a worship
leader serving the local church for almost
thirty years now. My publishing relationship
with Integrity Music has extended that ministry
to the nations of the world for the last twenty
years. I began regularly traveling in ministry
around 1994, often to places where my songs had
arrived first. I've ministered on college
campuses, within the walls of state and federal
prisons, for rehabilitation centers, in
evangelistic outreaches, for women's ministries,
in worship conferences, in healing conferences,
to benefit charitable causes, in white churches,
in black churches, and to both Protestant and
Catholic expressions of the Body of Christ.
I've ministered in 26 U.S.
states to date and in countries in Asia, Africa,
the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, the
Middle East, and the United Kingdom. Over the
past three years, I've even taken a band of fine
musicians with me to some of these places, which
was a first for me, and tons of fun! Life is
better when shared, I must say. I have been
enormously enriched by all the people I have
co-labored with and ministered to. God's people
are the best people, wherever I've been in the
world!
Now, if this commentary is
starting to sound like an exit speech, you'd be
almost right. I have no intention of retiring
from ministry. God never gives us that option! I
am aware, however, that my season of ministry is
changing. I can tell you about what I've done,
but I'm not sure how to tell you about what I'll
be doing! So until I know more fully what things
the Father desires me to put my hand to, I'll
only be traveling on a very selective basis. You
may certainly contact me about anything, though,
and I'll prayerfully consider it (click
here to email me).
I still have songs to write, of
course, - I think my best ones are still ahead
of me - and probably a book in the very near
future. I just finished my tenth "indie"
recording and I'm quite proud of it! I have this
satisfied sense of having properly tied up the
loose ends of a closing season with the release
of this recording. I hope you'll purchase one. I
think you'll find it a great blessing.
In Christ Jesus,
Lynn DeShazo
